The Print Studio Offers an Easy Way to Buy Original Art from the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition

Art lovers can buy original art from the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition online from The Print Studio.

Cambridge, Cambs -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/09/2011 -- The Print Studio, the home of internationally-renowned printmaker Kip Gresham, is giving art lovers the opportunity to buy world-famous art online. Work featured in the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy, the largest open contemporary art exhibition in the world, can be viewed — and purchased — on The Print Studio website.

The work by Stephen Chambers RA is part of a series of screenprints created at The Print Studio in 2010. Three of the pieces, ‘The Country Of Pointed Firs’, ‘A Little Larger than the Entire Universe’ and ‘The Ordeal of Richard Feverel’, are featured in the Summer Exhibition — and visitors can buy them from The Print Studio.

“This is a wonderful example of how the art world is mixing the old and the new,” Kip Gresham says. “The Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy has been an essential part of the London art calendar for years, and regularly attracts thousands of visitors keen to see new and recent work by established and emerging artists. Those same visitors, as well as people who can’t make it to the exhibition, can now go online and see the work and even buy it.”

The Summer Exhibition attracts a high volume of entrants each year, with over 12,000 entries from 27 countries. The inclusion of Stephen Chambers RA is a measure of the attention his work gains from critics, who have praised him for his use of colour and exploration of different mediums.

“Stephen Chambers’ work is already held in public and private collections around the world,” Kip Gresham adds. “Now normal art lovers have the opportunity to join institutions like the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Arts Council, the British Museum and the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge in owning his art.”

The work of Stephen Chambers RA can be viewed at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London until 15 August, and can also be viewed and bought online at http://www.theprintstudio.co.uk.
