Panama -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/28/2013 -- White-Miller Associates said that Matthew S. Yong Lee has agreed to join White-Miller Associates as Director, Top-Down Research.
In this role he will manage the group that is responsible for all of the firm’s quantitative, equity-oriented top-down models. Previously, Mr. Yong Lee was a Managing Director and the Chief Quantitative Equity Strategist.
In his new position, Mr. Yong Lee will report to Chief Investment Officer, Mr. John G. Hom. “Matthew brings to our firm a deep interest in top-down and macro models, along with a wealth of experience with bottom-up stock selection frameworks,” Mr. John G. Hom said. “We believe that this experience will make him very effective at integrating his top-down work with White-Miller Associates’ bottom-up research effort that will be led by John Fugh and Wes Lee. Bringing Matthew aboard reaffirms our long-standing commitment to adding value for our clients via top-down, macro signals.” Mr. Yong Lee will be a member of White-Miller Associates’ senior investment leadership team.
Prior to his work before White-Miller Associates Mr. Yong Lee was a Senior Quantitative Analyst. Earlier he was a Senior Research Analyst in Quantitative Equities. Mr. Yong Lee obtained a Ph.D. in Finance from The University of Hong Kong, Business Graduate.
