Galatta Cinema Magazine Turns 3

Launched in April 2007, Galatta Cinema Magazine was just an extension of Galatta.com, the complete South Indian Movie Portal.

Chennai, Tamil Nadu -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/11/2010 -- But from since its inception the magazine has slowly and steadily created an identity of its own and is today one of the most popular South Indian movie magazines. As we turn 3, we at Galatta Media thought that this was the right time to undergo a makeover. Not that we were unhappy about the way we were, but innovation and change have always been our favourite words.

So starting this third anniversary issue Galatta Cinema Magazine gets bigger in size, better in quality, sleeker in design and classier in content. We have the sizzling Anushka on the cover. She shot with us exclusively for the anniversary issue and it was one of our best shoots with ace photographer Sundar Ramu at the helm. Shot at Courtyard Marriot, Anushka was dressed and styled by popular Chennai based designer Sidney Sladen. Another exclusive in this special issue is a tête-à-tête with Arya. The actor who created waves with Naan Kadavul and is gearing up for the release of his period film Madharasapattinam posed for us in true Texas dude style: horses and saddles, bikes and cars- Galatta Cinema's first rugged outdoor shoot, once again shot by Sundar Ramu, styled by Rachel and clothes courtesy Basics Life.

The revamped look of Galatta Cinema includes all the old sections but in a completely fresh avatar with loads of zing! So Galatta Grapevine is now G!Spot, In the the Groove has become Key Notes, Galatta Talkies and Peekaboo are NOW & NEXT and many more such changes. Our readers and fans can be assured that the changes are in not just the names but also in the presentation. The Galatta Cinema team has constantly striven toward giving its readers an international magazine and the third anniversary issue is another step in that direction.

New in this issue of Galatta Cinema is Starry Sorbet. This section features short and sweet interviews with some of the happening stars in South Cinema. Featured this month are Ajith, Nayantara, Shriya Saran, Mamtha Mohandas and Sammir Dattani aka Dhyaan. Two hot look books featuring Meenakshi shot exclusively at Spring Hotel and Sanaa Khan and the Flick Pick section highlighting some interesting releases in the coming months are sure to appeal to the readers.
