BWL Reo Town Project Receives AGC Build Michigan Award

 

Oradell, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/18/2014 -- Burns and Roe Group, Inc., has announced that the Lansing Board of Water and Light (BWL), REO Town Cogeneration project has been awarded the 2013 Build Michigan Award by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Michigan. The project was honored at AGC’s Annual Meeting held on February 14, 2014 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The Build Michigan Award was established in 1995 by the Professional Service Provider Member Council of the AGC of Michigan as a way to recognize the excellence of an entire project team. Recipients are chosen by a panel of industry professionals that include an architect, engineer, facility owner/manager, city building official and university professor.

Burns and Roe performed engineering, design, procurement and field support services for this new combined cycle cogeneration facility, which produces up to 300,000 pounds per hour of steam and 110 MW of electrical power, occupying a 5.3 acre site.
