Grabo Launches Kickstarter Fundraiser to Start Manufacturing GestureR - Arduino-Compatible Gesture Sensing Module

Denton, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/03/2014 -- GestureR is an Arduino-compatible gesture sensing module that brings users to their DIY devices, with one of the latest technologies in smartphones. GestureR is the first gesture sensing shield that one can find in the market. Better still, it is tiny, inexpensive and user-friendly.

Inside GestureR, there is a tiny sensor. This sensor enables GestureR to do the following:

-Gesture Sensing: GestureR can distinguish gestures in 4 directions in 3 different speeds. Backers can also tailor-make their own gesture sensing methods from the raw sensing data.

-Proximity Sensing: GestureR can sense the distance of an object up to 10cm from the sensor.

-Ambient Light Sensing: GestureR can measure the level of ambient light.

GestureR can communicate with any Arduino Host or other microcontrollers through I2C interface.

Reading through datasheets is always painful when using a new shield or sensor. Grabo has already made some sample codes for most of the useful functions in Arduino format. Users only need to connect GestureR to their device and can use it right away with simple commands.

Before building the prototypes, the creators have done several modifications on the PCB designs to make them final. They are now workable. The creators will keep testing the prototypes and make sure there are no errors before manufacturing. Adequate funding via Kickstarter will allow Grabo to contact their cooperating factories and quickly arrange manufacturing.

The funding goal for this project is $10,000.
