"CoasterDad" Will Pemble Expands Science Education Program Beyond Roller Coasters

Physics, Family and Fun Take Many New Forms As Parents and Kids Flock To CoasterDad

Orinda, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/20/2014 --What began as a father-son backyard project has grown into a worldwide education and parenting phenomenon. The well known story of how Will Pemble created The CoasterDad Project after his son asked him to build a backyard roller coaster, looks to be just the beginning of Pemble's journey into the world of "Physics, Family and Fun." The man named "An early favorite for father of the year," by Good Morning America's George Stephanopoulos, is stepping up his already impressive game.

With the release of his latest video on YouTube, and the accompanying blog post on the CoasterDad.com website, the now-famous Will Pemble has further established himself and The CoasterDad Project as a driving force in Project Based Learning, and Education Technology worldwide.

Pemble's YouTube video, entitled "Star Spangled Banner On Fire," features "CoasterDad" Will Pemble playing Francis Scott Key's Star Spangled Banner on a keyboard wired to his latest physics experiment. Pemble calls the device a SoundFire Tube. More commonly known as a Rubens Tube, the device combines hundreds of propane flames, and the sound waves generated by the keyboard, to demonstrate what standing waves actually look like. While Pemble's keyboard performance of the National Anthem may want for musical talent, his clever mix of patriotism, science, and fun make for a compelling educational experience.
