Orlando, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/06/2014 -- Tourism is expected to grow substantially this year in Florida, with governor Rick Scott’s recent revelation that the tourism sector in Florida made history at least in the first three months of the year.

The Florida governor said that the state had a record-breaking 26.7 million visitors in the first quarter of the year, representing a 2 percent increase compared to the same period last year. This was better than the 26.2 million tourists who visited Florida last year, which was the previous best.
