Springfield, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/29/2014 -- The Government of Alberta has awarded a contract to Legal Files Software, Inc. to provide the Legal Files case management solution to the Ministry of Alberta Municipal Affairs.

The Ministry’s Municipal Government Board will use Legal Files to effectively and efficiently manage its workload. A provincial tribunal in Alberta, the Board hears appeals from subdivision applications involving a provincial interest, appeals of linear property assessments, intermunicipal disputes, municipal annexations, and other matters.

Legal Files Software, Inc. was selected as the preferred vendor after Alberta government officials evaluated the company’s response to a Request for Proposal for a Board Tracker Project. The aim of the project is to replace an older, unsupported system with a new case management and scheduling solution on a modern, sustainable technology platform which optimizes and improves the original system’s functionality, while addressing the current needs of the Municipal Government Board.

In addition to the licensing of its software, Legal Files Software, Inc. will provide training, implementation assistance, project management, a data conversion and custom programming services as part of the project.
