Chicago, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/13/2014 -- Puffingston, a presentation design firm based in Chicago, was recently certified as an Official Independent Prezi Expert from the presentation software company Prezi.
With the announcement, Puffingston becomes only the seventh company in the United States to achieve Independent Prezi Expert status and the first in the Midwest. Worldwide, there are fewer than 40 experts—the majority based in Europe near Prezi’s headquarters in Budapest, Hungary.
Puffingston launched in July 2013 as a presentation design company specializing in Prezi and quickly garnered attention when one of its projects won Best Business Prezi of 2013 in the First Annual Prezi Awards. The company recently expanded its services to include Prezi training courses locally at the downtown Chicago Training Connection facility and worldwide via webinar and private onsite programs.

Prezi started the expert program in 2009 as an avenue to promote individuals and companies who’ve demonstrated expertise in presentation design / training objectives. Each candidate is assessed via interviews and evaluation of existing work—based on the best practice training and design guidelines issued out by Prezi.
Experts are featured on the Prezi website and have access to a portal where they can communicate ideas and projects with Prezi and other experts.
As part of its acceptance into the program, Puffingston had a guest article featured on the Prezi blog—a Halloween-themed entry “How to Prepare Your Presentations for the Afterlife” that debuted on October 31.
Prezi is a cloud-based presentation platform that has been growing increasingly popular as an alternative to traditional presentation tools like Microsoft PowerPoint. Unlike slides, Prezi uses an open, zoomable canvas that allows users to show relationships between the big pictures and fine details, putting ideas in context.
