Ideated, designed, and developed by Intelligent Design Technology LLC, the ISA kit is tailor-made for both students and instructors in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs to respectively learn and teach about sensors and actuators through interactive hands-on projects.
At present the US ranks 52nd in the world in STEM education quality. It is Intelligent Design Technology LLC's firm belief that users of the ISA kit will have an improved quality of STEM education through both hands on self-learning and project based classes as well as a competitive advantage compared to their peers. Each ISA kit includes an Arduino-based microcontroller, 10 common sensors and actuators, Windows-based software, and an App for smartphone and tablets. The ISA kit requires no soldering or wiring and can automatically generate all necessary microcontroller code. All sensors and actuators are "plug and play" and hence are easily interchangeable.
The upcoming venture is to manufacture this product in the US. To make this a reality, Intelligent Design Technology LLC is looking to raise money via Kickstarter. The funding requirement for this project is $20,000 and the Kickstarter campaign will end on December 31st, 2014.
