Bill Beazley Homes Announces New Park and Ride in North Augusta

The city of North Augusta has created a project that benefits the community as well as reduces air pollution.

Evans, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/16/2015 -- A new Park and Ride has opened in North Augusta and Bill Beazley Homes has the details. In their blog this week they share with their readers the location and features as well as some of the benefits of the Aiken County Park and Ride. "Whether it be emissions or their use of landfills, Aiken and Edgefield County industries are doing all they can do reduce their carbon footprint and their impact on the environment," said Bill Beazley Homes. This Park and Ride will ultimately allow employees moving across state lines a central meeting place to commute to work with a co-worker.

The 220 space Park and Ride is located off exit five on I-20 west/U.S Hwy 25 in North Augusta, South Carolina. The facility cost 1.6 million dollars, and was paid for by the federal government. Lark Jones, mayor to the city of North Augusta said the Park and Ride was built primarily, "to encourage carpooling and wiser use of resources."

According to Bill Beazley Homes, the city hopes the facility will encourage carpooling, thus improving air quality and traffic between Georgia and South Carolina. The ride-sharing system will also allow drivers the opportunity to reduce their carbon footprint and save on fuel costs.

"Other ecological benefits of the new Park and Ride include a rain garden which benefits water quality and LED lighting, which will save energy and reduce maintenance costs," said Bill Beazley Homes.

Bergen Place West is located near the facility, providing residents an even more fuel-efficient commute. The neighborhood is built in a great location near all three metropolitan areas: Augusta, Aiken, and North Augusta as well as medical facilities, universities, and Fort Gordon. In addition, a number of neighborhood amenities are included at Bergen Place west such as parks, natural gas, protective covenants, sidewalks, streetlights, and underground utilities. For those who like a selection, a variety of floor plans are available including four and five bedroom brick homes. Homes feature fireplaces, gourmet kitchens, ceramic tile flooring, automatic front and back sprinkler systems, sod in the front yard, and hardwood floors.

"Now that Phase II has arrived, great prices are available for new lots," said Bill Beazley Homes. "Home buyers have the option to select the perfect lot to build their dream home or purchase a move in ready new home that is just right for them."
