SKOWT has now launched a Kickstarter project in order to fund the development of a new website to help music lovers discover tracks from new artists as well as to help licensing managers find unsigned talent.
The Kickstarter campaign, located at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/485620824/skowt, seeks funding for the development of a new type of website. This site combines the best of Tinder and Pinterest by allowing uploads of music by unsigned artists in a wide range of genres and giving music fans access to their favorite types of songs and bands. The free, fast-paced introduction of new music and creation of a chart showing labels and A&R allows users to create a media platform that tracks the most liked and most listened-to tunes for their own preferences.
With the SKOWT platform, fans are able to input their music genre preferences and are offered selected playlists to discover new tracks by unsigned artists. If they like the sample, fans can listen to the track in full or move on to the next track by tapping Like. They can also skip a track they do not like by swiping the track away and loading the next song.
Music and licensing talent managers may also use SKOWT to chart fan preferences and to receive weekly updates on unsighted artists and their reach among fans.
