"We were seeing a bit of a slowdown at certain times of the day due to heavy usage, so we knew it was time to upgrade our servers," explains Ryan, the company's President.
The HIV dating site had recently been experiencing heavy traffic, with very slow load times and page errors showing up for some members. The site was down for a day while the upgrade was in process but is now back up and running with no problems.
In addition, the company is also working to upgrade the site's social media platform, by hiring people to create unique, informative and fun posts on its Facebook and Twitter pages.
The HIV dating website, HIVandSingle.com will also be adding new content to their News section of the website which will be accessible to members and non-members alike. The goal is to be more engaging and provide more information to people through related articles about dating with HIV.
"We've hired new people to take care of both our social media and news categories and feel this will not only better position ourselves for growth, but offer real value to our users," says Ryan.
The site has seen an increase of new paying members over the last couple of months and has seen more interaction amongst members.
"Many members are looking for friendship and companionship and they're finding each other on our website site and creating true friendships. Of course, there are people finding relationships and love – it is a dating site after all! But, others are finding non-sexual relationships, which is really a testament to our platform," Ryan explains.
Currently, HIVandSingle.com has nearly 18,000 members on its HIV dating platform and has goals of reaching more each day.
