Students at Columbia College Hollywood have launched an IndieGoGo campaign to raise funds for their project "A Witch's Tale," a television series begun at The Los Angeles Film School. Funds raised for this project will be used by the non-profit organization for production costs.
Hollywood, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/09/2015 -- Columbia College Hollywood student Cue Elijah Denicki, producer and director; Full Sail University student Kareem Knoten Varnado, producer; Shannon Kendall, production coordinator; and The Los Angeles Film School student Talya Coviello, production designer have launched an IndieGoGo campaign at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/columbia-college-hollywood-students-need-funding/ to fund their final graduation project, the television series "A Witch's Tale" . The series began as a school project at The Los Angeles Film School in 2013, and is now approaching its final production stages.
"A Witch's Tale" is a series about beautiful young witches and their adventures. Episode 2, "Curse of the White Witch," stars Caitlin Gallogly as Rosie Gonzalez and Julienne Irons as Carmen Martez. This episode continues the story from Episode 1, which was published in 2013 as a mid-term project at the Los Angeles Film School . Episode 2 picks up with the further adventures of the young witches and serves as a bridge to possible future episodes.
The campaign has been designed to raise $10,000 for location costs, art department expenses, transportation, and craft services. All funds donated will be placed in trust by the Columbia College Hollywood, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that provides a tax write-off to anyone who makes donations to this endeavor. All purchased items and any remaining funds after production costs are met are returned to the college.
Pledge levels range from $1, which earns a heartfelt "thank you," to $1,000, which allows the donor to be listed as a producer in the credits. Additional prizes include artwork, visits to the set and other perks. For a complete list of all pledge levels and associated perks, see the IndieGoGo page.
