A Battery Pack That Solves an Important Charging Issue

Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/02/2015 -- Lyte Systems (Lyte) is excited to announce its first portable battery, LumoPack, the fastest charging battery pack on the market. The official launch was on May 19th, 2015, through Kickstarter, a crowdfunding platform. The campaign was then funded within the next 7 days before May 27th, 2015.

There is a problem in the battery market today.

The development of batteries has not kept pace with portable electronics, especially considering our increased demands and reliance on these. Currently, battery packs try to differentiate themselves through form, style, and gimmicks. Lyte has focused on what matters most – the science of the battery-cell.

Accelerated Charge Times: LumoPack can be charged at 140Watts, 14-28 times more than standard battery packs (5~10W). After just 6 minutes of charging, LumoPack stores enough juice for a full iPhone 6 charge, and after 10 minutes, enough for an iPhone 6 Plus. LumoPack only needs 30 minutes for a full charge (6000 mAh).

Extended Cycle Life: LumoPack is longer lasting product. With up to 1000 charge cycles, it offers 2 to 3 times that of the industry standard today (300-500 cycles).

Increased Safety: The adopted MOF technology coats the battery cell which prevents gasses, such as oxygen, from entering. This, in turn, reduces the risk of swelling, fire, or even explosions.
