An Event to Celebrate Everything Bamboo

The World Bamboo Congress Is An Ideal Forum To Learn How Bamboo Can Be An Alternative And Viable Natural Resource

 

Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/26/2015 -- Those who are environmentally conscious and look for ways to use bamboo as a sustainable and natural resource may be happy to know the news that the 10th World Bamboo Congress will be hosted by the South Korean city of Damyang between September 17th and September 22nd, 2015. World Bamboo Organization, the world's only trade organization dedicated to bamboo businesses, is organizing this event. World Bamboo Congress is a unique event because it provides a platform for encouraging global interaction, direct networking and sharing of ideas and information. World Bamboo Day will also be celebrated on September 18th as it is done every year around the world.

This year's event will be all the more unique because it will be coinciding with Damyang's month-long World Bamboo Fair 2015, an exposition that will show ways to improve the value of bamboo on an international level. The slogan that will be used during the event will be "Bamboo for a Greener Future". The exposition that is expected to attract an anticipated audience of 90,000 visitors will consist of a variety of bamboo exhibition halls that feature ecology, history, science, construction and Green Development. Special cultural programs, workshops, competitions, music and many more activities will form part of the exposition and so, people of all ages and backgrounds will have a reason to truly celebrate everything bamboo.

During the last 20 years, at least 400 participants including bamboo design experts, entrepreneurs, government representatives, non-profit organizers, progressive corporations, experts in construction, economists, and architects from over 30 countries have been taking part in the WBC Sessions and Demonstrations. In fact, WBC has become the ideal forum for all the professionals who work with this amazing natural resource. These professionals use the events to meet and develop collaborations in research and development and also in project and business development. They also use the events for advancing the social and environmental goals that can be derived from the various applications of bamboo.
