International Cricket Council (ICC) Invites CricClubs to Participate in USA Cricket Development Strategy

Milwaukee, WI -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/04/2015 -- CricClubs, an online cricket tournament management platform, continues to make significant strides towards its contribution to Cricket in United States of America. Saturday, Aug 29th 2015 marks a big day for CricClubs. Not only that CricClubs was identified as a key stakeholder for Cricket in the USA and invited to strategy discussions for cricket development in ISA, ICC CEO Mr. David Richardson, ICC Head of Global Development Mr. Tim Anderson and other ICC's USA Local Advisory Group Leaders were all very excited to learn about CricClubs and the efforts and contributions CricClubs made to the development of cricket in USA. ICC was pleasantly surprised to learn that CricClubs provides technology solutions to over 300 leagues and 25,000 players out of which 170+ leagues and 16000+ players are right here in the USA. CricClubs was clearly the leader in providing league management platform and technology solutions to majority of the leagues in the USA.

The day started off with Introduction by Mr. Mike Haysman followed by Mr. David Richardson speech that included background information on USACA's suspension and the current state of affairs with Cricket in USA. Mr. David Richardson also announced the names of ICC's advisory group that will develop and execute the strategy for cricket development in USA. The advisory group has the right mix of people to make it a very successful team– One representative from each of the following groups - Former USA Cricketers, US Cricket organizing bodies, Youth Cricket Development organizers, Business Developers, Leaders from other sports such as Rugby, US Olympic Committee, property consultants and members from ICC Americas and ICC Global.

It was very interesting to learn from ICC Americas Regional Manager Mr. Ben K about the journey of Soccer in the US and its parallels to the current state of affairs with Cricket in USA. It's amazing to learn how USA was able to put a great international Soccer team by executing US Soccer development strategy. Same was the case with the growth of Rugby in the USA.

It is pretty clear that the right focus and a great strategy that takes various aspects into consideration can propel Cricket in the US to the international platform. It is also amply clear from Mr. Dan's presentation that Technology and Social media are going to play a major role in the development of Cricket. CricClubs cannot agree more with that assessment.

There was a great panel discussion followed by open question and answer session. Both these sessions generated a lot of very good debate and discussion between the Cricket stakeholders and ICC.

All in all, it was a great gathering with a room full of passionate people with one and only one objective – to see US as a Cricket playing nation. One thing was absolutely clear yesterday – Cricket in US is poised for growth and ICC is more determined than ever before to develop Cricket in USA.

CricClubs plans to work closely with the ICC USA advisory group moving forward to extend our reach and help develop US cricket from grass roots level.
