Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Mavericks Name Home Arena Silverstein Eye Centers Arena

Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team the Missouri Mavericks announced in a press conference their home arena will now be known as the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.

 

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/05/2015 -- The Missouri Mavericks, an ECHL team owned by Lamar Hunt Jr., announced the new name of their home arena on Wednesday September 30th in a live press conference. The arena will now be known as the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.

The Silverstein Eye Centers Arena located at the Independence Events Center in Independence, MO will host the upcoming home games of the Missouri Mavericks. The arena opened in 2009 and has been hosting home games for the Mavericks since opening. The first home game of the 2015-16 season will be held at the arena on October 24th, against the Wichita Thunder.

The upcoming 2015-16 Missouri Mavericks season will see 36 home games played at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena during the regular season. The arena holds sports games, concerts, and more in their 5,800 seat stadium. The last regular season home game will be held at the arena on April 5th 2016, the Mavericks will play against the Tulsa Oilers.
