Boutique Hotel's Dynamic Duo Are at It Again

Hoteliers Paul Ruffino and Michael Mathieson have made good on the plans they shared with us eighteen months ago to aggressively immerse themselves in the New Orleans Boutique Hotel Market through their company Hospitality Management Services and its local subsidiary NOLA Hospitality Services.

Commack, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/30/2015 -- It will mark their two-year anniversary in the Crescent City when these two "Rainmakers" took control of the iconic Cornstalk Hotel located in the heart of the French Quarter.

Together with their New York-based team of customer service mavens led by Suzanna Dunchus they transformed the 200-year-old former Bed & Breakfast to a Luxury Boutique property that has dominated the top five ranking of Trip Advisor hotels numbering over one hundred fifty (150) in the City.

Rating in customer satisfaction above the city's former 5-Star Hotels including The Ritz-Carlton and the Windsor Court, Dunchus attributes their success to "world-class customer service." Asked to elaborate she said "Think about it...Paul Ruffino was awarded The Hotelier of the Year award by the BLLA in 2014 and wrote the book literally on customer service. Michael Mathieson has a career spanning the equal amount of time with an emphasis on sales & marketing and has been the recipient of too many awards & accolades to count. Anyone that comes in contact with these gentlemen is not surprised at what they've accomplished in New Orleans."

We've confirmed that NOLA Hospitality purchased a century-year-old historic home situated on the Canal Street Trolley line in the Mid-City area of New Orleans just 2 miles from the French Quarter. They have converted the 9,000+ square foot manse to a 15 room Luxury Boutique Hotel complete with a Spa located on the property's "Garden Level". Precluded by a brief soft opening the NOLA GRAND HOTEL, located at 4333 Canal Street in New Orleans will celebrate its Grand Opening on January 8, 2016. Just in time, we might add for Mardi Gras season and the ensuing consecutive months of festivals and events that contributed to New Orleans making Travel + Leisure magazine's 2nd Best City in the United States and 11th Best City in the World...2015.

The first quarter of 2016 will accompany the addition of another French Quarter property to their portfolio, and they have laid the groundwork for the expansion of an additional 200 keys before year's end.

We were asked not to appear to "pigeon-hole" the hoteliers to a particular venue...as of this writing, they are in the process of developing a new concept Indie Property in New York's newest lodging hot-spot Long Island City.
