The Oklahoma Heart Hospital Has More Than 20 Nursing Positions Posted in February

 

Oklahoma City, OK -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/09/2016 -- Oklahoma Heart Hospital currently has over 20 different nursing positions open for full-time, part-time, and flex-time. Some of the different departments that these positions are in include the critical care unit, surgery, cath lab, and south medical office building. There are unique requirements for each position that demand adequate education, training, and experience.

There is a registered nurse position open for the cath lab, which requires the ability to monitor, scrub, and/or circulate on all cath lab producures, including electro physiology, pacemaker, and AICD insertions.

Those who get the cath lab nurse position will be required to operate all equipment efficiently in this department, including hemodynamic monitoring, blood analysis, cine projector, intra-aortic balloon pump, injectors, cautery, electro physiology and ablation equipment, pacemaker, defibrillator, and all other equipment that needs to be used in this lab. This particular opening is for the 09:30-20:00 shift and all applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program to be considered.

There is also a RN position open in the House Resource department. Those who apply for this position must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing program with valid licensure in Oklahoma. This position requires a professional caregiver who will assume responsibility and accountability for patients while providing care via therapeutic use of self, then nursing process, the therapeutic environment, and treatments.

The House Resource Nurse must actively participate in and encourage teamwork to provide patient-focused care. A minimum of two years of continuous clinical experience in a critical/acute care setting with one year of recent management experience is preferred. This particular opening is for the 7:00am to 7:00pm shift.

An LPN/triage nurse is also needed at Oklahoma Heart Hospital. This position works under direct supervision of the Clinic Nurse Manager or Supervising RN. The person who holds this position must assist with daily clinic patient care, such as patient flow, taking patient's histories and vitals, assisting with diagnostic testing, and maintenance of medical supplies.

At least a high school graduate or equivalent is required for this position. One to two years of continuous experience in a clinic setting is preferred. Current BLS certification is required within 30 days of getting hired, and applicants must hold a current licensure with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
