Palmer Trinity Student Joins Cousteau Siblings' Organization Earthecho International as Youth Council Member

Palmer Trinity School student Delaney Reynolds has been selected as a Youth Leadership Council Member at EarthEcho International, a nonprofit organization founded in 2000 by siblings Philippe and Alexandra Cousteau, who continue their family’s legacy of environmental education and conservation.

Palmetto Bay, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/22/2016 -- Delaney is one of fifteen appointed to the council and will be serving a two-year term. Council members range from 15-22 years old, and were selected from across the country. Delaney was encouraged to apply for the position by Leopoldo Llinas, a science teacher and director of environmental stewardship at Palmer Trinity School.

As a member of the EarthEco Youth Leadership Council, Delaney will: provide guidance for the organization's youth-facing programs and resources; advise partner organizations and other external groups on the development of youth strategies; represent the organization at events, conferences and trainings; and serve as an ambassador for EarthEcho programs by executing environmental service projects in her local community.

"It is quite an honor to have Delaney selected for such a prestigious endeavor. As one of the first students to participate in the Academy of Agents of Change at Palmer Trinity School, we take pride in witnessing her continued efforts to protect our environment and share this information with her peers," stated Patrick Roberts, Head of School at Palmer Trinity.
