Isabella Santos Foundation Honors Susan Sears with 4th Annual Isabella Santos Award

 

Waxhaw, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/11/2016 -- The Isabella Santos Foundation is a North Carolina-based neuroblastoma foundation. Established in honor of the life of Isabella Santos, a young girl who bravely battled neuroblastoma, the Foundation continues to spread awareness about the disease and raise funding for research towards treatments and a cure. With regular events like one of the most popular local 5K runs in Charlotte, NC, and strong ties to local charitable organizations, the Foundation has a strong presence in the Charlotte, NC community. This year, the Foundation honored Susan Sears, whose community impact resonates with the Foundation's mission.

The 4th Annual Isabella Santos Award was presented to Sears at the Foundation's 1st Annual Coffee for a Cure event on April 14th, 2016. The Award was founded to honor one community member each year whose life pursues the same dreams as Isabella Santos, and who strives to make a positive difference in the world. Susan Sears was chosen as this year's recipient because of her incredible heart and dedication to the causes that she cares about.

According to the Isabella Santos Foundation, Susan gives her all to each cause she is involved with, including organizations like Go Jen Go and Girls on the Run. Susan is also a passionate Isabella Santos Foundation volunteer who helps with the facilitation of the Foundation's annual 5K and attends each event organization by the Foundation. Volunteers like Susan help the Foundation take steps towards realizing Isabella's goal of a world without cancer.
