Indiegogo Project Beacon Pushes the Envelope in Crowdfunding Campaigns

Director Adi Jani releases film trailer giving science fiction and horror films their first peek at this groundbreaking film.

London, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/07/2016 -- Adi Jani leads a cast and crew intent on shooting Beacon: a horror and science fiction crossover film as never seen before.

Film Synopsis

Set four years after an alien invasion, a young girl must overcome her fears to save her father from a group of desperate survivors. Millie, a 13 year old girl and her Father, Elias, are two of the very few survivors, four years after an Alien Invasion of our world. Beacon: A New World tells the story of how Millie finds her place in this new world. A world where the conventional notions of good, bad, moral or ethical have been thrown out of the window. She must face the question that in a world gone this bad, how can one define "Good"?

This moral compass resonates as strongly today, as it has ever done. This is one reason we believe this is a story worth telling. How does one choose? The choice is between Fear and Hope. If we look at what is happening in the world today, it is something that is at the heart of a lot of discussions. The choice between separating and isolating oneself out of fear, and the choice of accepting the changes happening in the world, and together forming A New World of our own, one that we all can be immensely proud of as a species.

The just-released trailer is on the brink of going viral. That's because it's been viewed hundreds of times in just 48 hours.

Audience feedback is spectacular....

"If this was just a teaser, I can't wait to see how the rest of the film will turn out!"

"Johnny Vivash's performance is stellar!"

"Such a great introduction to the messed up world they live in"

Adi Jani is pleased beyond all expectations, "So far the impressions we're receiving from people is that they're extremely impressed with the quality and professionalism of the teaser even though it was done on a minuscule budget. They're ecstatic to see what the rest of the film will look like. Also, they thought that introducing the film with such an intense and powerful scene helps them understand the world that these characters are living in."

There is a crowdfunding campaign under way for Beacon on Indiegogo. The funding goal is very modest at £21,000 and will undoubtedly fund a fantastic short film.
