Burnley, Lancashire -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/19/2016 -- The AdWords Keyword planner from Google has been used a free resource by many for multiple years, with many SEO specialists using it to discover data even though they didn't advertise on the AdWords platform. In recent weeks however Google have limited who can access this data, only allowing for AdWords customers with active accounts to see the keyword data. With keyword data being so important to those within the SEO industry, it seems that many advertisers have now been left uncertain where to turn to now to find their much needed data.
Many people have been saddened by the change, with a number of people unsure why the changes have been made, however there is a logical reason. To host, compute and provide data to users, it costs Google money, and previously not only did individual non-AdWords customers access the tool to fulfil their own research needs but also various third party keywords research tools were scraping data from Google to create their own data sets.
