ImageFIRST Los Angeles hosted their own Alex's Lemonade Stand at the company's plant site in Gardena from June 5th until June 9th during the annual Alex's Lemonade Days.
Alex's Lemonade Days is a national week-long event that has taken place every June since 2004. This year, the event ran from June 3rd to June 11th. During this event, about 10,000 volunteers host approximately 2,000 lemonade stands across the country to raise money for childhood cancer research.
ImageFIRST Los Angeles associate Sandra Barrios was inspired to host a lemonade stand by her nephew, Lorenzo Michele, who was born with Down syndrome and diagnosed with leukemia at age 2. In addition to the money that the associates raised through their lemonade stand at the Gardena site, ImageFIRST Los Angeles donated an additional $2,000 to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.
