London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/16/2017 -- According to Savills the rate of Londoners leaving the capital is now 80% higher than five years ago, with people in their 30's named as the most likely to leave. Last year alone almost 100,000 Londoners moved out of the city, and today we are going to discuss just some of their reasons for doing so.
In a Guardian article published at the end of last month, a number of individuals reasons were listed, these reasons included but were not limited to the following:
- One person spoke out saying that leaving London meant that she could have more children and feel comfortable doing so. For the same price as her flat in London she could afford a four-bedroom house in Kent, which obviously provided a greater place for children to be brought up.
- One person spoke about the lack of countryside in the capital – Yes it can be nice to be in midst of all the hustle and bustle but every now and again people do like to escape and this can be near impossible when in some London locations.
- One person spoke about their move out of London, saying even after taking a lower wage out of London they still ended up better off financially due to London living costs being so extreme.
These are only some of the reasons listed too. It is easy to see that many people choosing to leave London have money on their minds, but this is not the only reason why people choose to move.
